As a consequence of the modification of REACH with regard to lead and its compounds in force since 1 June 2016, which prohibits the use of lead wire as a weight for curtains throughout the European Union, Alborch y Vidal SL has developed, Patented and registered the product ECOPES: a product free of lead and that complies with the REACH. ¿What is ECOPES? ECOPES is a product patented and registered by Alborch and Vidal SL as an alternative to lead wire. It is a product with the same appearance as the lead wire but manufactured in stainless steel and with an approximate weight of 20 G/m. ECOPES, in addition to complying with the amendment of REACH concerning lead and its compounds ((EU) 2015/628 of 22 April 2015), as evidenced by the report issued by the independent metal institute AIMME; Is completely inert: it does not react with the environment and does not generate any type of residue in contact with humid environments. How do we provide it?
ECOPES is supplied in boxes of 750 meters or in small reels
of 25, 50 and 100 meters.
REACH is a Regulation of the European Union adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment
against the risks posed by chemicals, while enhancing the competitiveness of the EU chemical industry. The Regulation
also encourages alternative methods for risk assessment of substances in order to reduce the number of animal tests.
